For a while now, my close friends and I have been trying to meet up for a ladies night out. But going on a date with your friends is better said than done when you have to plan babysitting, work, home and every other activity on your calendar...and especially if you want to do all those things on that thing called a budget *rolling eyes*.
But last night we were finally able to put all those things in place and meet up for a much needed ladies night out, and I must say that I was not disappointed! We all had an ah-mazing night full of laughs, good talks and delicious food. It only takes such a night to question yourself why on earth don't we do this more often?! I'm sure my chikas would second that...
I was super excited to finally meet up with my main ladies. Can you tell? But, to my defense I have to say that it was way overdo!
Since we are all trying to be conscientious of eating healthy and working out, we decided to meet up at a Thai restaurant called - you guessed it - Thai Place. It turned out to be a very cozy, warm place with delicious food! I had the Pho soup (Musi's recommendation) and was not at all disappointed. It was delicious.
Ready for some fun. But first let us take a selfie...
Our conversations took us from work to kids to husbands to vacations to how important it is to have "me" time. But then when we hit the "trying get back into shape" department and oh-boy did we laugh so much! Because we all know that trying to fit into our clothes while having a few extra pounds is a struggle - but there are always the dreaded fajas...right ladies?
We had the old fellows at the table behind us cracking up as well...LOL!
Some of the most important women in my life (from back right to left) - Musi (Celia), Lizbeth and my SIL, Juliana.
You know what they say - time flies when you're having fun - and fun we had! Time flew and by the end of the night my cheeks hurt from so much laughing. It really is worth taking the time to catch up and spend time with friends.
Some women search their entire lives looking for that one friend, their BFF, if you might, someone they can trust, is there through the good and bad times, who listens, who can laugh in the good times or sit in silence in the bad times; but me? I have been greatly blessed! I have not one, or two or three...but several women in my life who posses all those qualities and more—women that build me up. I am utterly and whole heartedly thankful to God for putting each and every one of these ladies in my life.
And although we might not text for days, talk for weeks or even see each other for months at a time, when we get together we always pick up right where we left off—just as if we had texted minutes ago, spoken a few hours ago or seen each other yesterday. And that's what true friendship is about.
So here's to friendships, good times and ladies' night out. Because we're not just enjoying ourselves, we're building forever memories...
